Depends on the way the paint was put on. You always want to get the bike down to bare metal, then prime with a metal primer in warm conditions. I'm not aware of any special aluminum primer unless you're bottom painting a boat that is used in salt water. I've painted 4 bikes now and haven't had any trouble. |

Just your typical hardware store metal spray-paint. 2 primer coats, 2 color coats, 2 clear coats. Kind of time consuming, but worth it. |

The other side of the swingarm has a stress crack too. I can't believe that anybody would consider this frame to be in "good running order". |

The 08 Bottlerocket has a great ski feature built in to the frame. Just saddle up and use your feet as outriggers. |
